rosewood cabinet

This piece borrows inspiration from both the 16th Century and the Arts & Crafts movement while maintaining a contemporary, sleek feel. A solid European beech frame is made lighter with tapered legs, and the veneered rosewood panels and door draw the eye upward. Shelves are adjustable. A turned African mahogany knob complements the rich jewel tones of the rosewood.

This cabinet is currently on display in the 2024 Exhibition: Then & Now at North Bennet Street School in Boston, running through Saturday, August 10th. It was a finalist in the International Society of Furniture Designers’ 2023 Innovation + Design Awards, which ran as an exhibition at the Art Gallery at Congdon Yards in High Point, North Carolina.
